Jaurez, Mexico

In August, Sara and the kids joined Jason on a trip to Jaurez, Mexico where Jason was scheduled to teach in a YWAM Discipleship Training School (DTS). While Jason taught in the classroom, Sara, Emily, Jenna, and Jack read books and did crafts with "ninos" at the children's home on the base. Since most of the younger ones knew little or no English, Sara dusted off her high school Spanish, and Emily and Jenna practiced their "Dora the Explorer" phrases. ("Hola!" "Audame!" "Por Favor" and Jenna's favorite, "Hola, Soy Dora!"). Jack was well held, hugged, and kissed by all, and Jason and his students had a transforming week in the classroom.

Easter Morning

Jason & Sara's Generic Blog
Happy Easter everyone! Emily's Easter sermon: "God died on the cross for our sins on Easter... And the Easter Bunny isn't really real. Easter isn't about eggs; it's about Jesus."

"Chuck it!"

I was recently reminded of this video, taken one year ago. It documents a strange tradition of the Hague family, in which the evening milk cup is discarded in dramatic fashion. This video features only Jenna, but she and Emily both continue this practice today.

Welcome Jack!

Jackson Landry Hague

Jack was born in the wee hours on February 6. He is 9 lbs, 7 oz (yeah, I know), and 21 1/4 inches long. Oh yeah, and his head is 15 inches around! It’s a Hague baby, through and through.

He is named after my (Jason’s) grandpa, Jackson Todd. The name is also a tribute to C.S. Lewis (who was called Jack his whole life) and CTU agent Jack Bauer.
“Landry” is for the late Dallas Cowboys coach Tom Landry—a man worth emulating.

It was an amazingly difficult labor, but they pulled through. Thank you for your prayers.
We’ll update this site frequently, so keep checking for more pics of the man-child.

Great with child...

Hey folks.
Just a quick update. Sara's due date is next Thursday, February 9. She wouldn't appreciate photos of her belly right now I'm sure, so i'm putting one of Emily on her 4th birthday last month. I am still baffled by the princess phenomenon. Can't wait to have this boy... But she is cute, isn't she! We'll update when he gets here.
